Who we are

The Women’s International Film & Arts Festival (WIFF) is a unique, cultural event featuring films, visual and performance arts and other artistic expressions by women. The events bring together women from all over the world to explore, share and dialogue about issues concerning women through arts.We believe the images of women on film directly effect how women are perceived, valued and treated in society.

With women representing only 5-7% of filmmakers, it is no wonder that the images of women and the subject matter of films presented to the general public are often less than ideal. It is our mission to encourage the marketing and distribution of films throughout the world by primarily producing an annual women’s international film and arts festival. Join us for our 2008-2009 season which includes monthly film screenings throughout Miami Dade County leading up to our major festival, February 27-March 8, 2009.

WIFF February March 2009 will include ten days of film viewings in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties as well as workshops, panel discussions conducted by industry profess- ionals, and of course parties to celebrate women’s history month and WIFF.
